It is a reflection of friendship, faith, family, resilience, and the communities that helped shape us.
Over the years, we have served as parents, grandparents, mentors, coaches, community advocates, and friends. Through victories and setbacks, we learned that lasting relationships are not built on perfection, but on commitment.

Our Origin Story
Our Origin Story
The story of 2KidsFromRockaway™ did not begin with a book.
It did not begin with a logo.
It did not begin with a trademark.
It began with two children growing up in Rockaway, New York, each carrying different experiences, different cultures, and different challenges.
One journey began in Chesapeake, Virginia before finding its way to New York City.
The other began in Edgemere, Queens, shaped by family, faith, and Puerto Rican heritage.
Neither child knew their paths would eventually cross at Brian Piccolo Intermediate School 53.
What started as a childhood friendship would grow across four decades of life experiences, victories, setbacks, family, faith, marriage, and community service.
Years later, while reflecting on the journey they had traveled together, Clinton and Debbie realized they were carrying a story much larger than themselves.
That realization became a manuscript.
The manuscript became a brand.
The brand became 2KidsFromRockaway™.
Today, that story continues to grow through books, media, community engagement, and the mission of preserving a legacy built on friendship, faith, family, and love.
